AAAE Members,
I appreciate you allowing me the opportunity to serve you as President. I will
strive to keep you informed of issues that arise that directly affect your profession
and will work hard to be an advocate for agriscience educators across Alabama.
We have seen how our trying economic times have taken a toll on our education
system, so now it is as important as ever that you as an educator let your voice
be heard about issues of concern. I invite you to get to know you AAAE officers
and region Vice Presidents so that you may know who to reach out to.
As agriscience teachers, we are on the front lines, teaching and leading students
on a daily basis. We must have help from others, such as the Alabama State Department
of Education, the Alabama State Legislature, the Alabama FFA Association and
Foundation, Team Ag-Ed, financial and political supporters, and many others.
In order for us to succeed, all of these entities need to be in one accord and
working together for common goals.
I truly look forward to serving you and continueing a legacy of leadership within
our organization. I like the term, "the whole is greater than the sum of
its' parts." I challenge you "Ag Educators" to join forces and
let your voice be heard.
Please contact me anytime I may be of assistance.
Sincerely,
Kelly Pritchett
